You go away. She stays exactly where she is, same house, same routine, same spot on the radiator. We come in once or twice a day to feed her, sort the litter and keep her company, and we send you a photo every single time.
The point of all this
Most cats cope perfectly well with a few days of their own company. What they don't cope with is being boxed up, driven somewhere unfamiliar, and parked in a room full of cats they've never met. So we don't do any of that.

What happens on a visit
Not a ninety-second food drop. Here's exactly what we do while we're in your house.
Fed exactly the way you feed her, at roughly the times she expects it.
Wet, dry, raw, prescription, three different bowls in three different rooms because that's what works. We'll do it your way. Water gets changed every visit, not topped up, and we'll rinse the bowls properly. If she's on a fussy streak we'll tell you rather than quietly swapping her food.

Trays are cleaned at every single visit, and fully changed as often as your cat needs. We'll take the waste out with us rather than leaving a bag in your bin for a fortnight, which is the sort of thing you only notice when someone doesn't do it.
Tablets, liquids, ear drops, insulin, at no extra charge.
We're comfortable with routine medication and we don't charge more for it, because a cat that needs a tablet twice a day is exactly the cat that shouldn't be uprooted. Show us how you do it when we collect the keys. If your cat is diabetic or on something time-critical, tell us early so we can build the round around it.
We stay a while. Brushing, playing, or just sitting quietly nearby.
This is the part an automatic feeder can't do. Some cats want twenty minutes of string. Some want to be brushed. Some want you to sit down, be quiet, and stop looking at them. We follow their lead, and we're never in and out in ninety seconds.

Ate everything, or didn't. Slept on the good chair. Came downstairs to say hello for the first time all week. You get a photo and a sentence or two by text or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer, and if you'd like it sent to a second person as well, that's no trouble.

Eating, drinking, using the tray, moving normally, no limping, no hiding that isn't her usual hiding. It's the reason a real visit beats a neighbour popping a bowl down. If something looks wrong we ring you straight away, and if we can't reach you we ring your vet.

It goes by text or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer, on the same day, and to a second person as well if you'd like. It is not a template, and it is not always good news, because you can't relax on a beach unless you believe what you're being told.
How it works
There's nothing to drop off and nothing to collect. The only thing you actually have to do is hand over a key.
The full detailRing, message or fill in the form with your dates and roughly where you are. We'll tell you straight away whether we're free.
Before you travel, we'll arrange a time to come round, pick up your keys and go through everything properly. Where the food lives, which cupboard the litter is in, which cat is which, what the alarm code is, and anything that doesn't fit on a form. It usually takes twenty minutes and it's the reason the rest of it runs smoothly.
We'll send you an invoice once the dates are confirmed, and payment is due by bank transfer before your first visit. It means there's nothing to sort out when you land, and nothing hanging over the trip.
That's it. Nothing to drop off, nothing to load into a carrier, no detour on the way to the airport. Your cat notices roughly nothing until dinner time.

One visit a day or two, up to three cats, everything included. Here it is.
£13a day
Right for a confident adult cat on dry food who's used to her own company.
£24a day
Better for wet food, medication, kittens, older cats, outdoor cats, and anyone who worries.
Up to 3 cats included, then £2 per extra cat per day. No travel supplement anywhere in our area. Only four days a year cost more: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday. Every other bank holiday is the normal rate.

Cats are the species that suffers most from being moved, and the species whose distress is hardest to spot. A cat that's off her food, drinking more than usual, or sitting in a slightly odd way is telling you something, and you only notice it if that's the thing you look at every day.
So we don't split our attention. No dog walks squeezed either side of your visit, no rabbit hutch on the other side of town. Just cats, in their own homes, across Witney and West Oxfordshire.
It also means the person coming into your house has spent the whole week with cats, and will read yours properly rather than treating her as one more animal on a list.
